Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions?

Can't find the answer to your question? Send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
Can foreigners own 100% of a Mexican company?

Yes, in most sectors. The Foreign Investment Law restricts a limited list of activities; we screen your activity upfront.

S. de R.L. or S.A. de C.V. — which should I choose?

S. de R.L. suits closely held businesses and US tax planning; S.A. de C.V. suits larger or investor-backed structures. We advise per case.

What is the corporate tax rate in Mexico?

30% federal corporate income tax; VAT is 16%.

Do I need to travel to Mexico?

Usually no — incorporation can be executed via apostilled powers of attorney.

How long does it take?

Typically 2–4 weeks including document legalisation and registry processing.
